Case study for #hashtag campaign analysis

Whilst going about my daily business I was posed a question on “How can we track a Twitter hashtag campaign”.

Obviously the answers lie out in the Internet:

The response has been beyond belief, far more effective than other marketing channels. We wanted to drive both brand awareness and direct response, but this has achieved both in a far more personal way.” – Wendy White, Founder of Moonfruit.com

Pretty cool + they use lots of great free online tools. See mt ‘Twitter Tools‘ page for these and so many more.

Making Web Data Personal

So it has taken the traditional campaign management vendors a fair amount of time to really work out linking offline insight into online recommendations. It is not to say that they haven’t been shoe-horning their solution into online ecommerce and CMS platforms but now they are waking up to this as a serious opportunity. I partnered with Unica for a long time, prior to ficusing on digital, and they have probably the best campaign management solution out there. They have published this whitepaper that does act as a good general basis for looking at online engagement and campaign management using data-driven techniques. Twitter for food porn!

Ha ha…made you look!

Actually this is serious comment on the mighty Vancouver-based food vendor Japadog, as mentioned in Mashable’s article – ‘Tweetable Eats: What Street Vendors Can Teach Businesses About Twitter’

Communicate the breadth and depth of your products or services on Twitter in a fresh, compelling way, and in a manner that speaks directly to your customers’ needs.

Let’s look:

twitter/japadog

Sincerity, communicative, informative and they make recommendations to draw people it. It tastes pretty damn good too!

This process has been specially-adapted for organizations like yours that work with people in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Human-Centered Design (HCD) will help you hear people’s needs in new ways, create innovative solutions to meet these needs, and deliver solutions with financial sustainability in mind.
